My bachelor project delves into the theme of “identity quest” through the lens of graphic novel storytelling. Starting off with traditional comic book methods, the narrative unfolds through visuals crafted by using the 3D software Blender. This unconventional approach challenges established norms, breathing new life into this medium. The graphic novel’s plot is about the journey of self-discovery. The protagonist, Ava, emerges as an avatar designed by ZENITHAR-3, the company which produces avatars for users to make virtual experiences. Throughout the story, Ava navigates diverse landscapes and confronts challenges, serving as a symbolic representation of the universal struggle to unearth one’s true essence. By transcending conventional boundaries and leveraging the visual potential of Blender, this graphic novel invites readers to ponder the enigmatic journey of identity formation.
