Day after day, they fly from the mighty mountains to the calm sea and back again. An old myth says that dragons fly over the city of Hong Kong, bringing happiness and harmony. With modernity came the skyscrapers, gradually obscuring the mythical creatures from our view. To allow them to continue to fly freely, holes opened up in some of the facades of the concrete towers: so-called dragon gates. Whether capitalist mystification or serious belief: the impact of Chinese mythology can be felt in Hong Kong until this day. I wanted to investigate this lived mythology. And so, I followed the path of the dragons with my camera and embraced the mystical atmosphere of this city.
