This thesis draws on a phenomenological research approach and examines whether, in our increasingly artificial world, there still is room for wilderness, questioning how it can be experienced in everyday life. It takes a closer look at the boundaries between nature and culture and reflects on their impact on the human habitat. Inspired by personal experiences with wilderness over the last few years and during my research, this work aims to raise awareness of wilderness moments in everyday life so as to promote its value. It also questions the role of visual communication as a means of change.
