This module serves as an introduction to the field, offering a comprehensive overview of visual communication. It encompasses a presentation of past projects and explores participants’ research interests within this domain. Through engaging seminar discussions, the course delves into exploratory methodologies, research-driven design principles, discipline-specific epistemologies, and practical applications. Students will be equipped with the tools to navigate various forms of writing and positioning within the field.

The module also includes thorough preparation for the semester-end examination, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and application of learned concepts. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to formulate questions and identify their epistemological interests, fostering both intra- and interdisciplinary dialogues.
