Enquiry & Exploration 2

6 ECTS

This module offers engaging seminar discussions encompassing exploratory approaches, research-based design, discipline-specific epistemologies, practices, forms of writing, and effective positioning within the academic landscape. As the semester progresses, the focus shifts towards the formulation of a project proposal for the master’s thesis.

In the latter part of the module, students define their master’s thesis project by outlining the topic, methodology, relevance, and goals in a comprehensive project disposition. This process is grounded in initial research, empirical investigations, and experimental designs. Students are encouraged to formulate questions and align their epistemological interests with both intra- and interdisciplinary discourses.

The module actively promotes an exploratory attitude, empowering students to employ creative practices that not only open up new spaces of experience and imagination but also encourage unconventional problem-solving. Participants develop an independent and unique creative mindset, equipped with the ability to reflect upon and contextualize their creative approach.

By the conclusion of the module, students demonstrate their capacity to formulate a relevant, research-oriented project proposal for their master’s thesis, showcasing a culmination of their acquired skills in exploratory thinking, creative methodologies, and reflective practice.
