In the alphabet, letters traditionally represent spoken sounds. Lexicoda is an augmented typeface designed to extend this function by embedding encodable binary information within each character. Sequences of modulated curves embed this machine-readable data directly into the typographic structure, shaping its proportions while maintaining legibility. Typography becomes a hybrid interface, readable by humans and interpretable by machines. This enables diverse and novel uses of printed text, allowing it to convey metadata or support accessibility tools.
