Image making processes are continuously defined by technological shifts—emerging from classical photography, we now encounter the phenomenon of machine-generated imagery and non-human vision. This work researches the field of Non-human Photography and Machine Vision and its corresponding role in shaping visual culture. When humans are no longer the primary image makers and machines complete more complex tasks in military and everyday life, how is authorship redefined? Moreover, what changes when we invite machines as participants in shaping our environments, institutions, and cultures?
