IMAGE / OBJECT
Methods 2: Analysing Visual and Material Culture
In this two-day seminar, students explored analytic methods for researching images and objects in context. With a focus on the everyday and the ephemeral, the course examined how production, mediation, and reception shape visual and material culture. Through hands-on group tasks and discussions, participants engaged with a range of approaches and developed tools for nuanced, situated analysis.
